Overview
Simple Scan is a 100% offline document scanner for Android. The app does not connect to the internet, does not collect any data, and does not transmit any information from your device.
Data Collection
Simple Scan collects no data. Specifically:
- No personal information is collected
- No usage analytics or crash reports are collected
- No advertising identifiers are used
- No cookies or tracking technologies are used
- The app requires no internet permission and makes no network requests
Camera Permission
Simple Scan requests camera access solely to capture document photos. Photos are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted to any server.
Storage & Data Retention
All documents, images, and PDFs are stored locally on your device in the app's private directory. Exported PDFs are saved to your device's Documents folder. No data is stored on external servers.
Since all data resides solely on your device, you have full control over its retention. You can delete individual documents within the app, clear the app's data from Android Settings, or uninstall the app to remove all associated files.
Third-Party Services
Simple Scan uses no third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms. There are no ads, no tracking, and no data sharing with any third party.
Children's Privacy
Since Simple Scan collects no data of any kind, it is safe for users of all ages. The app does not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Rights
Because Simple Scan does not collect, store, or process any personal data on its servers, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, port, or delete. All data created by the app is stored exclusively on your device under your control.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
